Coral Poker Review Continued...
Games and Tournaments
There is a good variety of games on offer at Coral Poker including Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, Five Card Draw and Six Plus Hold'em. You can choose to participate in a ring game, Sit and Go or multi-table tournament. There are also freerolls, satellite events and re-buy tournaments on offer. Cash games range from £0.01/£0.02 up to £3/£6 and Sit and Go buy-ins can range from micro-stakes up to €100 for more serious players.
Coral Poker’s theme and colour scheme remains consistent with its betting site, rivalling just about anyone else in the industry without being too flashy. The lobby pages are neat enough, but once you reach the tables the site comes into its own, even though it’s still quite obviously running on iPoker software.
Players are represented on screen by static avatars, which attempt to create the feel of a live game. It may not be to everyone's taste, and it’s certainly not on the level of the visual offering provided by rival cardrooms, but the graphics are of good quality and there are more than 75 characters to choose from, which ensures a degree of variety at the table.
The player interface is very easy to use and, as an added bonus, you can make notes about a player for future reference by clicking on their avatar, a very useful tool when multi-tabling. Keep in mind that other players might well be doing the same for you!
Functionality and Features
Coral Poker runs on the popular iPoker network, meaning the software is fast, stable and reliable. A useful multi-table cascade option shows up to 16 tables, neatly arranged on a single screen. While the download poker client is decent, the instant poker option is even slicker, with a more modern look and feel. Coral became the first poker site to take advantage of this new option from iPoker creators Playtech in August 2015 and it has really paid off.
The iPoker platform guarantees a strong and steady flow of traffic to the site, with thousands of daily players taking part in cash games. This ensures you won’t spend ages waiting in the lobby for tournament tables to fill up, maximising your poker experience.
There is also a fairly comprehensive Poker School for beginners, intermediates and advanced players featuring video demonstrations, images and plenty of useful information, including a great section on how to manage your bankroll. In this respect Coral wipes the floor with many of its rival sites and makes sure that you head to the tables fully versed in the art of poker.
Coral Poker also encourages players to get involved with a number of side offers and crossover games, such as the £100 Side Games Freeroll. Players can gain entry to the exclusive game by playing £5 on casino games found in the poker widget - another useful tool.
Coral Poker Bonuses and Promotions
New players will be credited with £20 worth of tournament tokens as soon as they deposit their first £5, and can also receive a deposit match of up to £200, released in increments of £5 for every 300 poker points earned. There are a host of other great offers which are regularly updated, such as chances to win a trip to Las Vegas or grab a share of £30,000 just from playing your favourite games.
The loyalty programme is pretty reasonable - all players start out on the first of six possible levels. Players earn 17.8 points for every £1 spent on rake, and as you accrue points and move up the loyalty levels you gain access to fun freerolls and increasingly large rakeback percentages. Make it to Level 6 and you’ll receive 30.48% rakeback as well as a chance to enter a £375 freeroll tournament!
Coral Poker is without doubt one of the best online poker sites on the market with top quality features and a good level of competition. It also offers a fantastic welcome bonus, regular offers and some pretty valuable freerolls. What’s not to like?
