Poker tournaments begin at the super casino, situated in Leeds’ recently opened £165 million Victoria Gate shopping and entertainment complex, on Thursday 9th February, although a firm schedule will not be released until later this week. The development’s owners hope the casino will draw in poker fans from across the region and that the venue will compare favourably on a national scale alongside such legendary rooms as Dusk till Dawn in Nottingham and the Vic in London, operated by Grosvenor.
In addition to a large poker room, Leeds casino goers will be able to enjoy 140 slots, 80 electronic gaming terminals and 24 tables for live gaming. Capacity at the three-storey, 50,000 square foot venue will stand at a bustling 1,400. Visitors will be able take time out between hands to quaff champagne, cocktails and craft beer at the Curve Bar, keep an eye on sporting events in the Live Bar and sample everything from snacks to full meals, prepared with locally-sourced ingredients, at the V Restaurant.
