The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has granted operating licences to Yggdrasil Gaming, a cutting-edge developer of slots, lotto games, keno and progressive jackpots. Located in Malta, with an additional office in Poland, Yggdrasil Gaming has already carved out a niche for itself in mainland Europe, working together with several online casinos to provide entertaining and rewarding games.

Last week, the UKGC awarded two licences to Yggdrasil Gaming Ltd and Yggdrasil Holding Ltd, which means that the company can now offer its software and extensive portfolio to casinos in the UK or even establish a site of its own, as a remote casino licence was one of the ones granted. However, the company seems keen to work with existing operators.

Yggdrasil Gaming executives are excited to move forward and offer titles from their portfolio to the UK market. “This is a hugely exciting next phase in our development,” commented CEO Fredrik Elmqvist in a press release. “The UK is a very important market and thanks to the way our games are performing, we’ve already received six and a great deal of interest.”

Elmqvist feels that the UK online casino market is developing in a similar way to Nordic countries and is “looking forward” to seeing Yggdrasil Gaming become a part of this rapidly-expanding industry, which focuses heavily on mobile offerings and exciting gameplay.  Online slots from Yggdrasil are already available to European customers of Mr Green Casino, and British players can expect to access them in the near future.
