The EGR B2B Awards ceremony for 2016 was held at The Pavilion at the Tower of London last week, and the two biggest winners in terms of the total number of awards received were Playtech and NetEnt. Of course, quantity isn’t everything, and every company that picked up an award has reason to be proud of the fact, but receiving multiple awards is particularly special, and both Playtech and NetEnt are rightly making headlines because of that achievement.

Created by EGaming Review Magazine to ‘reward and celebrate the very best service providers in the online gaming industry’, the EGR B2B Awards have now been running for seven years. Awards are given for multiple categories, acknowledging achievements that have been made in betting and gaming software, payments, IT, recruitment, infrastructure and more.

The three awards won by Playtech last week were for its Mobile Gaming Software, its Poker Network  and its success as a Multi-Channel Supplier. There was stiff competition in all of these categories from the likes of Microgaming, NetEnt and OpenBet (among others), but the judges decided that Playtech was the most deserving company in each case.

NetEnt won awards for its Innovation in Mobile, its performance as an RNG Casino Supplier and its Innovation in Slot Provision. Again, competition was fierce in all of these categories, and NetEnt had to beat the likes of Playtech, Microgaming and Quickspin to earn its accolades.

Commenting on NetEnt’s success, Per Eriksson, who is Chief Executive Officer at the company, said: ‘Every year NetEnt aims to go even better than the last, designing better games with even more innovative features, and ensuring we stay at the leading edge of the industry. It’s fantastic to receive outside recognition that all our hard work is paying off.’
EGR B2B 2016 awards were also picked up by Microgaming (for its Poker Software), Realistic Games (for its achievements as a Mobile Supplier) and Gamevy (as a Skill Games Supplier), to mention just a few of the winners. We congratulate all of the companies that were recognised, and we wish them continued success in the future.
