Hardly a month goes by without online gaming company Playtech making headlines for all the right reasons, and the latest news from the Isle of Man based firm is that it has launched a brand-new addition to its Prestige suite of games. The new title is Prestige Baccarat, and – like its predecessor, Prestige Roulette – it is a live casino game that gives the player one of the most immersive experiences currently available.

Whereas many live casino games give the player a simple, head-on view of the dealer as if sitting across the table, Prestige Baccarat boasts five dynamic camera angles that provide an even more intimate, up-close-and-personal perspective. In addition, players can view action replays of winning hands, allowing them to savour the moment for far longer than would be possible in a regular offline casino.

The Prestige Baccarat game takes place against a stylish backdrop which bears the Chinese symbol for ‘luck’, and the live dealers have been selected specifically for their Baccarat skills as well as their native language proficiency. That means players can expect a first-class live Baccarat experience in any of the languages that are offered by the game.

As well as ensuring that the action on the other side of the screen is as smooth, professionally executed and visually appealing as possible, Playtech have invested a great deal of time and effort into perfecting the design and functionality of the user interface. Both online gaming licensees and expert Baccarat dealers were consulted to give players what the company says is its best ever user interface to date.

Prestige Roulette, which can be played at William Hill Casino and other venues, has enjoyed enormous success as the first game in the Prestige suite, and Playtech are confident that Prestige Baccarat will prove equally popular.

‘A great deal of research, development and close co-operation with licensees has gone into what we are confident is the best live Baccarat product on the market,’ said Kevin Kilminster, who is Head of Innovation at Playtech Live. ‘The newly refined live game contains the classic squeeze variations as well as the squeeze logic associated with one of the most popular casino games in the world. The feedback has been very positive so far and we’re sure it will go from strength-to-strength.’

Shimon Akad, who is Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer, was equally excited about the launch of the new title, adding that: ‘Prestige Baccarat and the Prestige suite of products marks the beginning of a very exciting journey and Playtech Live unveiling its next generation of live casino games, platform technology and software that we believe will take live casino to an entirely new level of product capability, performance and personalisation.’
