Emojiplanet is a video slots title which uses NetEnt’s Cluster Pays mechanics, and involves Bombs, Pizzas, Rockets, Hearts, Kiss Marks, the Tears of Joy character and more falling from the sky into a six-by-six grid. Winning clusters vanish from the play area as soon as the win has been paid, allowing the remaining symbols to drop down and make room for more to cascade into view.
A Star symbol is wild, which makes it easier to complete winning clusters, and every time a winning cluster of a particular symbol is achieved, an icon of that symbol to the right of the play area will begin to light up. When the icon is fully lit, an associated feature is triggered to provide additional wins. For example, a fully illuminated Bomb icon will trigger the Bomb Feature, a fully illuminated Pizza symbol will trigger the Pizza Feature, and so on.
As you would expect from a game which is based on emoji characters and symbols, the graphics in this title are fairly simple, but there are some eye-catching animations to enjoy, and the game area itself is set against an animated background. The soundtrack seems to be inspired by Japanese arcade games – which is quite fitting when you consider that emojis first appeared in Japan in the 1990s – and the audio effects match the on-screen action perfectly.
‘The emoji has become a worldwide phenomenon, so we’re pleased to be able to give players the chance to enter their world,’ said Simon Hammon, who is Chief Product Officer at NetEnt. ‘The emojiplanet was made to bring fun and laughter to the gaming experience and we’re confident our players will love this unique encounter and everything it offers.’
Emojiplanet can be played at Mr Green Casino and other venues which offer NetEnt titles.
