Garbo, which takes its name from the legendary Swedish movie star Greta Garbo, will offer punters a mobile-focused casino experience and is set to be trialed in the competitive Swedish market before being rolled out to the rest of the world. Mr Green chief executive Per Norman was full of confidence ahead of the launch, telling reporters: “We believe that Garbo has the potential to become a strong, global brand, just like Mr Green.”
Norman was also keen to point out that the the online casino organisation wouldn’t be breaking the bank in their relaunch of Garbo: “This is a cost-efficient introduction due to the fact that we can take advantage of Mr Green’s competences, digital knowledge and supplier relations.”
Furthermore, it is the belief of the gaming giant that there is still room for another mobile-focused casino in a bustling marketplace, especially one that can offer such a different experience, and that this approach will benefit the company in the long run: “There is a big number of mobile gaming sites on the Swedish market, however, with Garbo’s sometimes provocative profile, I believe there is a position open for us,” Norman added.
Mr Green, which recently picked up the 2017 Online Gaming Operator of the Year award at the International Gaming Awards, charged Oskar Mühlbach with leading the Garbo brand, which has been designed to be “clever, crisp and catchy”. Mühlbach said: “The first version of Garbo is built for mobile users on the same technology platform as Mr Green which gives significant scale advantages.”
Garbo.com, which currently describes itself as ‘the cutest online casino out there’ is open for business and offers a range of games, including roulette, blackjack and various online slots. Players can also visit Mr Green, a review of which can be found on the Online Casino Reviews page.
