Mr Green Casino customers will soon be given a new gaming option after it was confirmed that a sportsbook will be launched by the operator this year. Chief executive Per Norman has described it as a natural move as Mr Green looks to expand the business and welcome more new players, as well as offering more options to existing account holders.

Mr Green is renowned as having one of the top online casinos in the business, offering a range of the best games and many exclusive titles. It is a well-designed site with a great sense of individual character, and Norman has no doubt the forthcoming sports betting arm will prove to be just as successful.

“The Board of Mr Green Ltd has resolved to broaden Mr Green’s offering through the launch of a sportsbook during 2016,” Norman said. “This is a natural expansion of our offering since a large number of our current casino customers also play some form of sports betting.”

The announcement of a new sportsbook came as Norman confirmed that he would be standing down in the summer to be replaced by new chief executive Jesper Karrbrink. Mr Green also reported positive financial results for the fourth quarter of 2015, with the Swedish firm’s revenue increasing 15% to SEK 201.1 million from the previous year.

Norman also highlighted that Mr Green ‘experienced growth at more than double the rate prevailing on the market’ in 2015 and with a new sportsbook to come this year it looks likely that the operator will continue to go from strength to strength, providing a better service than ever before to customers.
