The iPhone 6 is currently under development and while a launch date is not yet known, experts have predicted its release will have a significant impact on the world of mobile gambling. At present, Apple users already outspend Android users in mobile gambling and if rumours are true about the upgrades being made to the iPhone 6, its likely Apple will soon dominate the market.

The iPhone 6 is expected to have a larger screen with higher resolution and better quality graphics which are ideal for improved game play. Furthermore, rumours suggest the touch screen will be more accurate and responsive with a fingerprint system that can protect gamblers from theft or fraud.

In addition to the improved facilities on the phone, Apple is in pole position in the mobile gambling community as they list real-money casino apps in their App Store whereas Google exclude them from their Play Store. A recent study by market analysts Distimo confirmed Apple’s position after finding that all of the top social casino publishers made more revenue from Apple’s App Store than from Google Play.

Apple’s dominance of the mobile gambling market shows no sign of slowing and increased revenue means that software developers are more likely to invest their time creating apps for Apple users where the rewards for developers are considerably higher. The new iPhone is set to improve the experience of mobile casino users still further by combining the latest technology with the most sophisticated software designs which will result in improved game play for gambling fans.

The rumoured release for the iPhone 6 is September 2014 although Apple has yet to give any indication of a release date.
