Halloween - The Film
For those of you who haven’t seen the original movie, Halloween told the story of Michael Myers, a serial killer who committed his first murder on Halloween night in 1963 and then escaped from an asylum 15 years later to continue his career of violence in his home town. The movie starred Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, a babysitter in the unfortunate position of being stalked by Myers, and Donald Pleasence as Dr Sam Loomis, a psychiatrist who is trying to find the escaped killer.
It's a grisly plot to be sure, but that – and the iconic white mask which Myers wore throughout the story – is what helped to make Halloween such a massive hit. We are pleased to say that the new Halloween slot from Microgaming references many of the key motifs of the movie, and also features the memorable soundtrack (which even non-fans of the original film will be familiar with) and plenty of atmospheric soundbites.
Halloween Online Slot
The game has five reels and fifty pay lines. The reels themselves are invisible, with only their symbols showing against the backdrop of Myers’ house. Those symbols include a clown mask, a knife, a handgun, a Bonus wheel, a telephone and the main characters from the movie. This game also introduces a Wandering Reels feature, which causes three reels (containing Jumbo Blocks of symbols measuring 3 reels wide by 4 rows high) to spin in unison. The Wandering Reels can stop at the left, middle or right of the game, and the position is randomly determined, keeping players in almost as much suspense as the characters themselves, albeit for much nicer reasons!
Halloween Slot Bonuses
Getting three Bonus wheel symbols on the reels will trigger the Trick or Treat Wheel Bonus, which gives the player the chance to multiply their stake until they progress to either Free Spins or the Boogeyman Bonus. The Free Spins are self-explanatory, whilst the latter feature involves trying to escape from Myers himself, picking up bonus cash along the way.
‘Our Halloween online slot is a celebration of the classic horror film,’ said David Reynolds, who is Games Publisher at Microgaming. ‘The game studio creating this game are big fans of the movie and brand, and I think the passion they have is evident in the game. The design and storytelling is superb and it presents a range of environmental effects that add to the suspense. This is combined with a feature rich game engine that will continually thrill players. As Sheriff Brackett says, “It's Halloween, everyone's entitled to one good scare.”’
Halloween lands at casinos from today, so if you fancy a good scare of your own this month, be sure to look out for it at 32Red Casino and other venues on the Microgaming platform.
