Dragonz Land at Online Casinos

Dragonz will be landing at a number of online casinos today in the form a brand-new slots game from leading developer Microgaming. The Dragonz slot is a 243 Ways to Win title which boasts superb cinematic 3D animation and a host of features – several of which are genuinely innovative and really help to push the boundaries of immersion and entertainment.

The Dragonz reels, of which there are five, are set against beautifully rendered 3D landscapes which change at various stages of the game. Symbols include the playing card ranks 9, 10, J, Q, K and A, a Wild symbol, a Scatter and four different Dragonz. The Dragonz are called Flint, Switch, Frost and Gobble, and each one has a personality (and a role in the game) that is as distinct as its appearance.

Dragonz is played much like any other online slot, with prizes being awarded for completing winning combinations of symbols on any given spin. As you would expect, the Wild symbol can stand in for most other symbols, and thereby improve your chances of winning. However, if you get a Wild symbol on the third reel and no winning combination is created, a Wild Deal feature is triggered which randomly deals additional Wild symbols so that a win of some kind is guaranteed.

The base game alone is well worth playing, but there is a whole lot more to discover when it comes to Free Spins. Get three or more Scatter symbols on the reels at the same time and one of four different Free Spins rounds will be triggered. Each Free Spins round is associated with a different Dragonz character, as follows:

Flaming Wilds is associated with Flint, who breathes fire at the reels to create Wild symbols.

Stashed Wilds is associated with Switch, who stashes unused Wild symbols and then uses them to create a win when he has three or more set aside.

Frosty Wilds is associated with Frosty, who freezes unused Wild symbols until they win.

Winning Wilds is associated with Gobble, who turns symbol positions Wild with green slime.

Initially, the Free Spins round that is awarded to the player is something that the game decides. However, once the player has triggered the Free Spins round 12 times, they unlock a ‘Player Choice’ award which allows them to choose which of the four rounds they would prefer to play.

‘Dragonz brings a whole new level of entertainment to gameplay,’ said Neill Whyte, who is Commercial Director at Microgaming. ‘Our customers can expect outstanding animation as well as imaginative, all-new free spins features that keep the player engaged. We have eagerly awaited the launch of this slot and anticipate that it will be a firm favourite with players.’

With superb graphics, fluid animation and top-quality audio, Dragonz really is a game worth exploring, and it can be played from today at 32Red Casino and other venues on the Microgaming and Quickfire platforms.
