Rainbow Casino, Birmingham Review Continued...
Location Map and Nearby Casinos
About a mile away from the hustle and bustle of Five Ways and their casinos, Rainbow is accessible by car as it has designated parking. Although the parking can fill up easily on a busy night, there are more spaces on the unrestricted surrounding streets.
Roulette: 8 tables
Slots: 16 inside 8 outside
Virtual Roulette: 8
Mahjong – 4 tables
The staff are helpful and welcoming, especially the receptionists on the front door. Staff throughout seem willing to help and go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay, as opposed to seeming tired when dealing with odd requests
There is only one small bar round the side of the stairs. It is not particularly ample, but fits the size of the casino, and any more would probably seem excessive. The bar staff are happy to help and recommend items off the menu. There was no waiting time to be served even on a busy Saturday night. Although the casino lacks a restaurant, the atmosphere doesn’t suffer because of its absence.
As one of the smaller casinos in Birmingham, everyone is much more at close quarters, but the atmosphere feels far more inviting than the likes of the Grosvenor China Town Birmingham, which is a similar-sized venue. The helpful staff will facilitate a warm and welcoming environment where you will feel at home at any of the tables or machines.
Although the space this casino has is somewhat limited, as it is a converted building, it uses that space efficiently and in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling like the casino is lacking anything. The smoking terrace is one of the best you will find, as it is fully covered and heated, and also has 8 slot machines outside, and a large window back to the inside. From the inside you would be forgiven for thinking the terrace is a high-rollers room which you might find in other casinos.
The staff make this casino an even better venue than it might be with a mediocre bunch. In a casino of this size it is crucial to make it a personal and endearing atmosphere, and Rainbow succeeds. It’s definitely a casino you have to check out if you want to stay clear of the mania that can be central Birmingham on a busy night. If you are partial to a bigger casino, this probably isn’t the place for you, but it is definitely one of the better casinos in the city for those in search for somewhere to try.
