Ladbrokes is one of the biggest names in the gambling world, with more than 2,700 betting shops spread out throughout the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Spain and a huge online membership of over 800,000. The company dates back to 1886 and now has over 13,000 employees in the UK alone, recently beginning a major overhaul of its digital services including a brand new mobile sportsbook in 2013.

  • A staggering range of sports markets and specials betting on TV, film and politics
  • Fantastic in-play functions allowing you to track live action from around the world
  • Regular and one-off bonuses, including a free bet up to £50 for new players
  • An attractive mobile app offering speed and reliability
  • Huge amount of information on homepage could be daunting for new users

It is easy to use Ladbrokes’ mobile app if you are on the go when you fancy a flutter. It works smoothly and looks sleek and well-ordered. It is no surprise that a powerful player such as Ladbrokes has spent time getting its mobile offering spot on, with decent graphics and excellent promotions.

Markets

As you would expect, Ladbrokes offers a huge range of sports markets, including some you may never have heard of like bandy and floorball, alongside specials betting on TV, film and politics. Each of the sports listed offers good depth and there is little or nothing missing anywhere on the site.

Appearance

The first thing that strikes you about the Ladbrokes sportsbook is that it takes up the whole screen and makes really good use of the space. There is a lot of information available at once without ever becoming too overbearing. The fonts are modern, the graphics are slick and its brand is considered. All in all it’s very hard to find fault.

Functionality and Features

Ladbrokes have really gone to town with their In-Play functions and it shows. You can view exciting live graphics from various sports fixtures from around the world, allowing you to follow something as obscure as the Algerian Youth League on an almost ball-by-ball basis. Live streaming is available on a massive range of fixtures across several sports making Ladbrokes one of the best places to track live action and bet In-Play. The only apparent downside seems to be a lack of a statistics database or form centre specific to each game. You have to search for the teams that are playing from the main Stats section.

Bonuses

Ladbrokes have a healthy number of regular and one-off bonuses in their promotions section, including a free £50 bet for new players. Offering money back on accumulators of five or more games if one team lets you down is likely to be a huge hit with football bettors and there’s also great value to be had on major horse racing events, including guaranteed best odds. Punters also have the option to cash out and there are regular price boosts on big events.

Conclusion

As one of the industry’s biggest operators, Ladbrokes ought to have all bases covered and be leading the way when it comes to innovation. With a recently revamped site, focused heavily on the increasingly popular In-Play market, that is most certainly the case and it is difficult to find fault. The site is comprehensive, attractive and super-functional meaning there’s very little reason to look elsewhere.

   The Best!

Ladbrokes is my No1 site for sports betting. The site is easy to use and finding markets couldn't be simpler. They offer a host of promotions across a number of sports and their Goals Galore football betting market is a great bet for any Soccer Saturday fan. They are also one of the biggest names in the industry so you know you won't have any problems in getting paid out or getting your bet on.

   Not A Winning Combination

I've rated Ladbrokes quite poorly because I never seem to get a return on my bets from this brand whilst I do quite well at other sites.
