Virgin Bingo stands out from the competition and offers some great incentives to players, but lacks the option to play on mobile devices.

  • A good mix of bingo and slots games under the Virgin Games banner
  • Sleek, sophisticated design which sets it apart from many competitors
  • Great customer service alongside top promotions and bonuses
  • Disappointing lack of ability to play bingo on mobile devices

Unfortunately, if you wish to play on your mobile or tablet there are no bingo games available, but there are a limited number of Virgin Bingo’s most popular slots are offered. An Android version of their iOS application is also still in development. The mobile offering lacks the sleek nature of the desktop site, though it would surely get the job done if you wanted to play slots on the go.

Virgin Bingo Review Continued...

Images of Virgin Bingo

Virgin Bingo-1 Virgin Bingo-2

A respected brand with ambitions to become one of the leading bingo providers in the business, Virgin Bingo is part of the larger Virgin Games site. It offers a slick platform that would appeal to any fan, while a particularly impressive catalogue of slot games serves as a fun alternative to the three bingo rooms.

Games

No doubt inspired by Virgin founder Richard Branson, the three bingo rooms are named Enterprise, Adventure and Voyage. Enterprise is a classic 90-ball game available throughout the day, while Adventure lets you play from just 1p and offers exciting chat games. Voyage is a 75-ball game with progressive jackpots and tickets for just 10p each. While it might seem like a small offering, it’s obvious that they’ve gone for quality over quantity. A redesign of the site in 2015 brought in a sleek, angular layout that is more casino than bingo hall, but it still works well.

Classic casino games such as roulette and blackjack are available at Virgin Bingo, but it is with the slots that Virgin Bingo really excels. There is something on offer to suit just about anyone’s tastes, from Deal or No Deal to Spartacus and Da Vinci Diamonds to Elvis: The King Lives. If you’re looking for a bingo site with great supplementary games, you’ll find it here. Many of the slots on offer are from Gamesys, though NetEnt and other gaming companies do make an appearance.

Design/Layout

The site opted for a refresh at the start of 2016 as the crimson surrounds were removed and replaced with a brighter, super-sweet design more in line with other bingo sites. Whereas the previous incarnation had offered a nice contrast to the lighter colours preferred by many competitors and had arguably been more modern and stylish, it is still nice to look at and all the information is very easy to digest, while there is still a red and black colour scheme within many of the games.

Powered by Gamesys software since January 2013, Virgin Bingo players can enjoy a smooth ride during their stay, as it is easy to find all the top games and move between bingo, casino games and slots.

On mobile there is no option to play any of the bingo games in the browser or on the app, just a few slots. The design also doesn’t really work on a smartphone screen, with the blocks of content on the menu taking up too much space, making it feel like you are constantly scrolling to find the game you want. The tablet version provides a better experience, but there is still no bingo, which is pretty frustrating.

Features

Brilliant customer service is at the forefront of Virgin Bingo’s ethos and if you run into any problems, there is a team of helpful chat moderators available, as well as round-the-clock assistance and a searchable Frequently Asked Questions page. There’s a small section on chat lingo and guidelines for the rooms, but apart from that, there’s not a huge community feel to the site apart from the chatrooms for bingo and slots.

Virgin Bingo Bonuses and Promotions

Virgin has a lot to offer for new players and returning regulars, starting with their 200 percent welcome bonus. Once signed up, members can deposit £10 and they will receive £20 free, giving them £30 to play with. You’ll need to meet a 4x wagering requirement if you’d like to get a hold of your winnings. Bingo will count for 100 percent of those requirements, but you’ll get just five percent towards your contribution if you play slots.

Two for One Bingo does exactly what it says on the tin – between 9am and 12am each day you can grab two cards for the price of one on Bingo 90 in the Enterprise room.

Players are rewarded for bringing friends along for the ride, and there is a scheme to help you build up V*Points, which can be redeemed for cash or flying card miles. There aren’t many bingo sites out there that offer the chance to exchange loyalty points for a chance to fly the friendly skies, so this is one point that is definitely in Virgin Bingo’s favour.

The Super Links offer allows you to join in Community Super Jackpot games every half an hour for the chance to win anything between £250 and £2,000. Virgin Bingo also offers Red Hot promotions, providing opportunities for players to enjoy cash, prizes and fabulous offers, but the catch is that you won’t get much notice before the specified one or two-hour periods begin.

Conclusion

A classy-looking site with loads of attractive promos, Virgin Bingo is definitely worth checking out. The lack of mobile offerings and just three bingo rooms is a real shame and brings down its score, but there are plenty of slots and table games alongside the three main rooms to keep even the most dedicated bingo player happy. Think of it as a friendly and fun addition to the great slots promoted on the site and you’re sure to have a nice time.
