Mecca Bingo Renew Deal with Playtech

Mecca Bingo has renewed its bingo and games contract with Playtech, with the two companies agreeing upon a new multi-year deal. This will see Playtech Bingo retain its position as sole bingo and games provider for Rank Group-owned Mecca, a relationship that has proved successful for both parties for over a decade.

The agreement will also allow Mecca the option to offer its players a wide selection of Playtech slots games, thanks to the provider’s Open Platform. In a press release, Daniel Phillips, Playtech’s vice-president of UK operations, spoke with confidence regarding the renewed deal: “The network is performing well with stakes and active players at their highest ever levels and our licensees have made a great start to 2017,” he said. “Mecca is one of those so we are therefore very pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with the Rank Group and our collaborative approach will help drive their bingo business into the next decade and beyond.”

Rank’s group director, Colin Cole-Johnson, was equally as buoyant, praising Playtech for their long-term collaboration with the bingo industry giant: “It is a suite of products our customers know and love, and this has been an important partnership for Mecca since 2006, so naturally we are pleased that an agreement has been reached to develop this further.”
