I am a massive fan of cycling and love to have a punt on the Classics and Grand Tours as it makes watching all the action even more exciting! It’s not like football betting, where the bookies have their odds locked down; if you do your homework, you can get some very decent returns on one-day cycling races like Paris-Roubaix or Liege-Bastogne-Liege or in speciality markets for the Tour de France.
When I’m not riding my bike or catching ITV highlights of the latest road races, I like to play poker. I’m not on the level of Daniel Negreanu or Phil Ivey, but I enjoy the social element of the game and play regularly with my friends. Typically I play Texas Hold’em, but on occasion I’ve played Seven-Card Stud and really liked it.
In the casino, I like to play Pai Gow Poker and Red Dog, and will tell anyone who listens (or is unlucky enough to be near me) about the difference between poker and poker-based casino games. I wish I had a better understanding of craps, as the low house edge is appealing, but no matter how hard I try I never seem to get the hang of it.
Despite living in the UK for well over six years, I have never actually set foot in a bingo hall and prefer to play online. I once got an amazing curry recipe in the chat feature of a bingo site, which more than made up for the fact that I lost out on a decent-sized win when I was just 2TG.
