Double Bonus Poker

Double Bonus Poker is a video poker game which gives players an opportunity to increase the value of any prize won by gambling it in a bonus round. If the gamble pays off then the prize is doubled and the player can either collect it or try and double it again. This makes it possible for players to parlay even a modest win into something much bigger. In addition, the payouts for Four of a Kind are twice as big as they are in a standard game of Bonus Poker.

The game itself is essentially Jacks or Better and uses one deck of playing cards. As in most video poker games, the Double Bonus Poker player can bet anything from 1 to 5 coins per hand, but the jackpot of 4,000 coins can only be won when you bet 5 coins on the hand. The payout schedule for this game is as follows:

You play the game in the usual way, but if you win a prize then a Double button will appear at the bottom of the screen. If you want to gamble your prize then click the Double button and you will be taken to a screen showing five playing cards – one face-up and four face-down. Your task it to select one of the face-down cards that you think has a greater value than the one which is face-up. If you are wrong then the prize is lost. If you are right then you double your prize and can either collect or try to double again.

You can keep doubling until you lose or until the doubling limit is reached – the game happily allowed us to repeatedly double a win of 25 coins to a whopping total of 2,000 coins before declaring that the limit had been reached, so there is plenty of scope for big wins here.
