As the weeks pass the number of housemates are gradually whittling down, and it’s not all been due to evictions call for by the vote of the public. Jonathan left due to personal reasons, Chanelle walked after yet another argument with Ziggy, Emily was removed for making racist comments and Lesley walked because she was bored. Betting has been just as eventful, and with a while yet to go things should start heating up quite nicely as we continue toward the conclusion of the series.

The previous hot favourite Brian has drifted to odds of 6/4 with Paddy Power to win the show outright, thanks to heavy support for the twins Amanda and Samantha, who are now offered at odds of 4/6. Liam is the third favourite at odds of 6/1. Paddy Power have also opened a book on Paris Hilton appearing on Big Brother 2008 and getting up to various things. Say whatever you like about this being a tad premature, but if the idea of Paris Hilton making a porn film with a fellow housemate seems likely to you, you can snap up odds of 100/1.

Over at Bet365, the odds on Sam or Amanda winning are 8/15, with Brian in second favourite position at 15/8. Liam, who has already banked £100,000 from earlier in the series, is third favourite at 15/2. When you look at these odds, it makes the Betfair book on the ultimate winner very interesting, because you can get odds of just over 2/1 on both of the twins and Brian too.

Will the current odds accurately point to the eventual winner, or will one of the other housemates come from behind to pip the three front runners to the post? As always with Big Brother, anything can happen... and probably will.
