Most Excellent Slots

Most excellent slots! Microgaming has announced the launch of three new online slots games, including one based on the cult movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

For those who haven’t seen the movie, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure told the story of two metal-head slackers, Bill S. Preston, Esq. (played by Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (played by Keanu Reeves). Bill and Ted embark on a time-travelling adventure to gather together a group of historical figures (including Socrates, Napoleon and Freud) in an effort to pass their history exam. They also have dreams of making their two-piece rock band, the Wyld Stallyns, a worldwide success.

Okay, so the plot sounds a little off-the-wall, but the movie was a big hit in 1989 thanks to its use of numerous memorable phrases such as “Most bodacious” and “Be excellent to each other”. It still raises plenty laughs almost twenty years later, so it isn’t surprising that Microgaming has decided to adopt it as a slot machine theme. The new game features cascading reels, two bonus games and – as you’d expect – plenty of in-jokes for Bill & Ted fans.

In addition to Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Microgaming is also releasing brand new Flash versions of two popular slot games, Avalon and Cashapillar. Avalon features an “epic” theme and is well know for being extremely well illustrated, whilst Cashapillar revolves around an insect’s birthday party. Both games will undoubtedly be big hits with players who prefer to play at Flash-powered instant casinos.

Our verdict? We love the Flash games, but the Bill & Ted online slots game simply has to take centre stage. These most excellent slots are totally not bogus, dudes!
