Big Kahuna is a slots game from Microgaming that has been around for years but which is now enjoying revived interest thanks to the launch of the sequel: Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders.

Big Kahuna is a five reel online slots game with nine pay lines. It has two impressive bonus games in addition to the main slots game, and these are the Volcano bonus game and the Pick a Mask bonus game. To launch the Volcano bonus game you need to get 3, 4 or 5 volcano symbols on an active pay line. Get 3, 4 or 5 mask symbols on an active pay line and you will launch the Pick a Mask bonus game.

What is striking about Big Kahuna is the way the game still looks smart and fresh years after it was first launched. The bright, cartoon-style graphics and animation segments are just as impressive as they were when they broke new ground, and the audio effects and ambient noise are as richly textured as in any new release.

It is a testament to the strength of the original Big Kahuna that the franchise has now been expanded with the introduction of Snakes and Ladders. Just as the breathtaking innovation of the first Tomb Raider computer game fuelled a host of bigger and more technologically advanced sequels, so the impact of Big Kahuna on the online slots world was such that a sequel was almost inevitable.
