Craps Session Banks

Craps Session BanksCraps session banks are sums of money that fund individual sessions at a craps table. They are something that can be used by both online craps players as well as those who play in traditional casinos, and knowing how to use craps session banks sensibly could mean the difference between walking away from the table a winner or logging off a loser...

Many players don’t think about using their money effectively at all, and this leaves them at the mercy of however they happen to be feeling at the time. If they feel more optimistic than usual, they might bet much larger amounts than usual. But optimism doesn’t alter the odds of winning, so betting bigger can just as easily lead to bigger losses than it can to bigger profits.

The solution to this common problem is to establish a specific sum of money that will be used for a particular craps session (the craps session bank) and then using that bank wisely. Here’s how:

• Start by creating a craps session bank that will allow you to make twenty bets. If you bet £5 a time, you will need to have a craps session bank of £100.

• Stake 5% of your bank on each bet, but not less than 5% of your starting bank. For example, if you start with £100, your first bet would be £5. If that bet lost, your bank would go down to £95, but you would still bet £5 even though this is more than 5%.

• If you hit a winning streak and your bank grows, the 5% rule will allow you to bet bigger amounts. For example, if you turn your £100 to £160, your 5% stake would now be worth £8, which means you can win even more if your luck continues.

• If your session bank doubles, it is a good idea to quit betting or to take out the starting balance and continue from the beginning. For example, if £100 becomes £200, take out £100 for safe-keeping and continue using the remaining £100. This ensures that you won’t lose money when the session ends (though you could lose your profit, which is why quitting is also an option.)

• If you lose your session bank in its entirety, stop betting. Although you may be tempted to use several craps session banks in a single losing session, that defeats the objective, and is to be avoided. It is better to lose one bank and take a break than to chase losses and lose even more.

These tips apply whether you play at online casinos or offline, so start following them today and with any luck your craps session banks will help you to play more sensibly, have more fun and - hopefully - win more money!
