Strip Blackjack

Strip blackjack is a game of blackjack which involves players betting items of clothing, as in the more well-known game of strip poker (not to be confused with Vegas Strip Blackjack!). Strip blackjack is viewed as being better than strip poker for a number of reasons...

• Strip blackjack is easy to learn. Whilst poker can be difficult to grasp for the newcomer, the basic rules of blackjack can be picked up in a couple of minutes.

• Strip blackjack doesn’t take long to play. Strip poker games can go on for hours, but strip blackjack usually results in losing players getting naked much quicker.

• Strip blackjack is more appropriate than poker if just a couple of people are playing. Although heads-up strip poker is viable, poker is better suited to a handful of players.

If you want to experiment with strip blackjack, here are some tips to help you:

• Make sure that all players wear the same number of clothing items. If you don’t do this then the person with the least items of clothing will be at a disadvantage.

• Decide at the outset when the game will end. Will the player left standing in their underwear be considered out of the game, or will they still be in until they are buck naked?

• Make sure that the room you are playing in is warm, otherwise you may find that players aren’t keen on betting.

• Agree whether doubling-down and splitting will be allowed in return for the staking of an additional item of clothing.

• Finally, have fun! Strip poker is a recreational game between consenting adults, and not one in which you will probably want to focus your attention on counting cards!
