The main problem with multiplayer baccarat (and other multiplayer online casino games) is that the social side of the game can, if you aren’t careful, make you lose concentration, and thereby increase the risk of you losing money. For example, if you are following a baccarat progression and you get caught up in conversation, you might accidentally stake the wrong amount of money, or stake the right amount on the wrong hand, sending your strategic approach into chaos.

Another potential pitfall is that having other players around you might cause you to start getting competitive with them, even though you are playing against the casino. For example, you might normally bet £3 per hand, but the people around you are betting £5 and £10 per hand. In this scenario you may be tempted to increase the size of your bets just to “keep up” with everyone else.

1 – Set a time limit for your session before you start playing. This could be as short or as long as you want, but you must stick to it when you get to the table. If you’re in the middle of a conversation then apologise and leave anyway. Better to cut the chat short than to do the same to your chip stack by playing for longer than you intended.

2 – Keep conversations light. By all means share a joke and have fun, but don’t get into deep conversations that seem more important than the game itself. Remember, you’re here to play baccarat, so if you want a political or religious debate you should take it to a chat room that won’t cost you money.

3 – Always put the game first. Focus fully on what is happening when it is your turn to act. The conversation will still be waiting for you when you have placed your bet, but you only get one chance to make the right betting decision.
