Baccarat systems are sometimes advertised on the internet and in the classified sections of gambling magazines, but is any casino baccarat system really worth spending money on? The short answer is no.

Online baccarat involves very little skill, so anyone who wants to make money by developing their ability and playing well would be better off focusing on a game such as blackjack. Besides, most baccarat systems involve little more than adjusting your betting patterns, and you can do this without investing a penny.

There are three bets in a game of baccarat, and since the tie has such a large house edge, most players concentrate on betting on the Player or Banker. The adoption of a simple tracking system that tells you which to bet on could therefore be all you need to make money.

Consider a game where the Banker has won the last seven hands. In this case you might start betting on the Player hands in the hope that things will turn around and the game become more balanced. Or it could be that the Player has been dominating, in which case you might start betting on the Banker.

Whichever approach you take, you could increase your stakes from hand to hand until you hit a winner. Bet on the Player (after the Banker has been dominating) and if you lose, increase your bet on the Player for the next hand. You have to be careful with this idea, as long losing runs could cause your stakes to escalate dramatically, so give yourself four or five hands to hit a winner and, if you don’t succeed, cut your losses and walk away.

Another idea you can consider is betting on the Player or Banker to repeat their success. For example, if the Banker won the last hand, bet on the Banker to win again. If the Banker wins, you make money. If the Player wins, you switch to betting on the Player in the hope that it repeats.

Unless you’re James Bond or have access to his briefcase full of cash to risk in an all-or-nothing bet on the Banker, you aren’t likely to get rich playing baccarat. But at least you now won’t waste money on baccarat systems that provide little more guidance than we have just given you – for free – in this article.
