Glasgow Super casino

Glasgow City Council has given approval for a Las Vegas-style casino to go ahead in the city. The application by Rangers Football Club and Las Vegas Sands, and American casino company will see a £120 million leisure complex including some sort of size of casino being developed.

Although it has received planning permission to be a regional casino, Government Ministers need to approve the application for it to become the first regional super-casino to be built in Great Britain. The reason being that only one regional super-casino in the whole of GB will be approved, and other places like Blackpool and Wembley want to be the chosen sites.

Ministers are able to give the go-ahead for eight large and eight small casinos in addition to the one super-casino.
